Blogs of November – 3 of Our Faves to Read on a Sunday

7 years! ✨It was almost exactly seven years ago today that I boarded a one-way flight from Orlando to San Francisco, marking the very first time I'd ever lived outside of Florida. It was just a couple months after Dave and I got married that we decided to take a leap of faith and move all the way across the country knowing nobody, but excited about the opportunity to try our hand at city living and West Coast life. Dave moved first to start his job, and I came two weeks later (our stuff came four weeks after that, which is a whole other story for another time). . Truthfully, there were people who didn't think it was a great decision to move so far from everyone and everything I'd ever known, especially when we had a lot of good stuff going on back in Orlando. But, deep down, I knew (we knew), that it was an adventure we wanted to say yes to, and I have no regrets about that decision and would make it again, even though there have definitely been hard times throughout the years, especially being so far from family. . If I had never moved out West, I wouldn't have started a blog that would one day become my job, I wouldn't have taken being a group fitness instructor from a side-hobby into a true passion that has led to so many other things, and we wouldn't have had some of the most fun times ever navigating a brand new world as a young married couple and eventually ending up with Brady and the life we love now too. . Here's what I've learned over the years: There's nothing wrong with staying comfortable and staying the same. But if you never dance with the unknown, and you never face off with struggle, you'll never reap the big rewards and get all the things you didn't even know you wanted. So just follow your gut. Mine has never steered me wrong.
