For Better and Worse by Margot Hunt – #NEWRELEASE #BOOKREVIEW

Could your marriage withstand the intense pressure of a crime, one that’s the worst there is… Murder?

It’s not something we normally ask ourselves and I’m assuming that it’s not a thought prior to taking our vows but in the rare instance it happens, what would you or your spouse do?

This intense read was off the charts for me, one because it involves sexual assault of a child and well… that’s my full reason. I can normally read anything but these two things together made it a challenge to get through.

That being said, I loved the idea and the unfolding of the plot which kept me holding on page after page.

I highly recommend this read if not simply for the fact that it will push you past your comfort zone and get you asking some strange but powerful questions about loyalty, love, motherhood and how far one will go to protect her own.

I received an ARC of this book from Harlequin-MIRA and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

On their first date back in law school, Natalie and Will Clarke bonded over drinks, dinner and whether they could get away with murder. Now married, they’ll put the latter to the test when an unchecked danger in their community places their son in jeopardy. Working as a criminal defense attorney, Nat refuses to rely on the broken legal system to keep her family safe. She knows that if you want justice…you have to get it yourself.

Shocked to discover Nat’s taken matters into her own hands, Will has no choice but to dirty his, also. His family is in way too deep to back down now. He’s just not sure he recognizes the woman he married. Nat’s always been fiercely protective, but never this ruthless or calculating. With the police poking holes in their airtight plan, what will be the first to fall apart: their scandalous secret—or their marriage?
